Cameron's Obama Victory Speech 2015

"If there is anyone out there who still doubts that Great Britain is place where for the wealthy all things are possible, who still wonders if the dream of our Lords and Dukes is alive in our time, who still questions the power of our money, tonight is your answer.

It's the answer told by bankers and speculators, the rich and the famous who's bank accounts bulge like never before. They voted, many for the last time in their lives, because they believed that this time must be the same, that their wealth could make it the same.

It's been a long time coming, but tonight, because of what we did on this date in this election at this defining moment no change has come to Britain.

But above all, I will never forget who this victory truly belongs to. It belongs to me. It belongs to me.

Tonight we send out the message that if you are not rich, it doesn't matter if you are young or old, black, white, Asian, gay, straight, disabled or not disabled you just can't make here in Britain.

And to those rich Britons whose support I have yet to earn, I may not have your vote tonight, but I will be your Prime Minister too.

I know this election has many great stories but on my mind tonight is an 89 year old lady who voted probably for the last time. I think of all the things she has seen and done in her lifetime. The heartache and the hope; the struggle and the progress; the times when she was told that we can't, and the people who pressed on with that British creed. Yes we can.

We think back to a time when a whole generation were put on the dole queue. Yes we can.

When we went to war with our own communities and shut down an entire industry. Yes we can.

When we watched our schools crumble and our health service fail. Yes we can.

And even now we give tax breaks to the well off and cut benefits for the disabled. Yes we can.

Southern Britain, we have come so far. We have seen so much. But there is so much more to do. If my daughter should live as long as the Iron Lady what change will she see? What progress will we have made?

This is our chance to answer that call. This is our moment.

This is our time, to put people back on the streets, to close doors to opportunity and make it easier for the few. To reclaim the Conservative dream and reaffirm that fundamental truth, that out of the many are the privileged few, while we breathe we rule. And where we are met with strikes and social unrest and those that tell us we can't, we will respond in the timeless creed that sums up a class of people: Yes, we can.

Thank you. God bless you. And may god bless the southern part of Great Britain."
